Christian Talk Doll Life. On today's podcast we're going to go over or angels, demons, Lucifer and Jesus. I think this is important because there seems to be a shallow understand ending of the spiritual reality that we live amongst. We as human beings in the image of God, in the sense that we can connect with God, not that we have anything. We're not God like at all, except in Christ. We are. WE ARE CO errors with Christ, but but we are where. We are God's greatest creation, his his greatest creatures, and everything around us in the spiritual world is either God's angels doing his bidding fighting against a third of the angels that fell that are demons under the instruction of a fallen Archangel, a fallen angel called Lucifer, and it's structured. The spiritual world is structured, but the key to all of it is God created everything and God iss sovereign and God's never surprised. God doesn't change. Lucifer is a failure, fallen angel that tried to become God, overthrow God. A third to the angels that actually could see God shows to fight with him and were cast out. Pride, and I has no bounds. Arrogance, this need to be the in charge, this need to be right, this need to to be special. This is why God hates pride. I thought we'd start over in Aphesian six versus ten through twenty, and the reason why is Paul is explaining to the Church in Ephesus the necessity to be armored up to to understand that you're in a spiritual battle. We are in combat what the spiritual, the enemies of our souls. Verse Ten. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might, God's might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. I think this is important because one hundred percent of us go through life and we get our feelings hurved by certain people. We get insulted, we get stabbed in the back, we get passed over, we're not people, were not the favorites, we get we miss opportunities. But when we understand that, we're actually we're not dealing with just human mistreating human we're dealing with people, especially on if they're not born again, that are under the oppression, possible possession of the demonic world, driven by their pride of life, their flesh. This, this, this, get everything I can will them alive. And and when and when you're walking with the Lord and they and the light is is in business. It's visible in that world than the PEA, the demon were demonic world's like. We gotta we got to stop, we have to we have to try to do something about these lights in the darkness. But what's important about this is not to fear. Greater is he who is in the world is in you. Greater is he that's in you than he that's in the world. Jesus said, greater is me, then the demonic world and Lucifer. Do not fear. So when we go over this, this isn't go oh no, this is terrifying. No, it's not. This is reality. I want you to understand it's really happening, which is why verse thirteen says, therefore, because our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but rulers, against powers, against the world, forces of darkness, against a spiritual forces of wickedness and heavenly places, take up the full armor God, so you will be able to resist in the evil day and, having done everything to stand firm, therefore girt, having girded up your loins with truth and having put on your breastplate and having shot your feet with the preparation of Gospel and, addition, taking up a shield of faith in which you're able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil. One take the helmet of salvation and the word of the spirit, which is the word the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. So you want to you want to have your you want to have your thoughts taken captive, you want to have your your shield up in preparation, knowing, having wisdom, that the darts are coming. You want to be in the word of God so you can resist. And a good example of this for us is when Jesus was being tempted by the devil, when he was out in the desert for forty days, and Jesus said is Satan. On the other hand, it is written you shall not put the Lord your God to the tests. He's quoting scripture. And again the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he looked at him and said, all these things I give you if you fall down and worship me. So what did Jesus do? He quoted scripture she said to him, Go Satan, for it is written Ye shall worship the Lord, your God, and serve him only in Satan departed. We're in a spiritual battle. We're fighting more with the spiritual word reality than the actual people that we come in contact with that are against us, and we need to be quoting scriptures to the demonic world and we need to be walking in faith, because God is norm he's enormous. God created all things, says Jesus, created all things by him and for him, and he sustains all things. So we have nothing to fear because the creator is our friend. Jesus says, I call you friends. Now he's our Lord as children of God, but he's a friend and God we have access to through Jesus Christ. So The Holiness in heaven which will get to God, the father on the throne, we can actually approach boldly in humility, because we know that we are loved by God as children of God, as the bride of Christ. It's it's profound, but the key is that you we understand. How did Jesus deal with it? Jesus prayed all the time. Prayed, prayed, because Jesus prayed as a an example. But he also he also will in his flesh, wanted to wanted to keep filling him his spirit, filling him up, himself up, because even though he was tempted at always he didn't sin. But but he knew obviously the man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the work, the mouth of God, from the word of God. In Luke ten, Jesus was talking to some of his disciples. Before the seventy two return they went out pairs of to and Verse Sixteen, Jesus said, whoever listens to you listens to me, but whoever rejects you rejects me, but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me. The seventy two returned with joy, saying even the demons submit to us in your name, and he replied, I saw Satan Fall from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and overcome all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Jesus was there when Lucifer was cast out. The angels were present when the Earth and everything around, saw the planets. They were there. Angels are awesome, but they're nothing compared to their creator. This, this, this will explain to you a little bit about how fierce the warfare is. In Daniel ten, it says in the third year of King Cyrus King of Persia, Cyrus King of Persia, revelation was given to Daniel, was called belt to Chazar. It's a message was true and concerned the Great War. On the twenty four day of the month, after seeking God for three weeks, fasting, praying, not eating any choice food, what she was supposed to do as a eunuch for the king, he basically just was broken and asking God for three weeks, give me wisdom, help me understand, give me the vision, help me understand. Three weeks and on the twenty four day of the first month, Daniel was standing on the bank of a great river, the Tigris, and he looked up and before me was a man dressed in linen with a belt of fine gold of oof as around his waist. His body was like Topaz in his face was like lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, is, arms and legs like the Gleam of brandished, burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude. Who is this? That's pretty awesome, isn't it? Or seven I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision. Those who are with me did not see it, but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves. So I was alone gazing at the great vision. I had no strength, my face turn deathly Pale and I was helpless. Then I heard him, the man whose face was like lightning, in his voice like the mult the sound of the multitude, and as I listened to him, I film to a deep sleep and my face on the ground and the hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. And he said, Daniel, you are highly esteemed. Therefore careful, consider, carefully the words I'm about to speak to you and stand up for I've been sent to you. And then he continued. Do not be afraid, Daniel, since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and humble yourself before God, your words were heard and I have come in response, but the Prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me to one he one days. So we know it's an angel. Now. There was an angel earlier, with the face like lightning, when with eyes like flaming torches and his voice like the sound of a multitude, and it's still took Michael, the prince pre the the chief prince, Prince. After twenty one days, it says, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me because I was detained there. He was detained by the King of Persia. I've come to explain to you what will happen. The warfare is real. God is allowing trials around the planets. He's allowing things to take place in the spiritual realm, but we're not to fear but it. I'm stressing this because most Christians don't pray a lot and they don't read their word, and then they want to know why their thought life is a disaster while they're stressed out all the time. Let me, let's let's go into the Throne Room of God and see what angels are doing. Isaiah nine, six Old Testament and revelation for a we're going to see angels. Their job is to worship God around his throne. Isaiah six, it says in the year that King Ysaiah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood seraphim angels, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet and with two they were flying and they were calling to one another. Holy, Holy, holy is the Lord of host. All the earth is full of his glory. Over and over again, holy, holy, holy verse. For at the sound of their voices of the angels, the door post and the threshold shook and the temple was filled with smoke. WHOO. You ever got a statue of a little angel or cards with pictures of little angels on them? The those are an angels. Angels are magnificent creatures, powerful under the authority of their creator, God and revelation. For Eight, for seven, it says the first living creature was like a lie in, the second like a calf, the third at the face of a man. The fort was like an eagle and flight. And each of the four living creatures around the throne room, throne of God, had six wings and they covered and covered with eyes all around and within day and night, they never stopped saying holy, Holy, holy is the Lord, God Almighty, who was and is and is to come, and whenever the living creatures gave glory, honor and thanks to the one seated on the throne, who lives forever, the twenty four elders would fall down before the one seated on the throne and they worshiped him who lives forever and ever, and they cast or crowns before the throne. The scene is awesome. The angels are created by God. Angels are created to live fraternity. Angels are present when God created the world. Angels Don't marry. Angels are wise and intelligent. Angels take an interest in human affairs. Angels are faster than humans. Angels are spiritual beings. Angels are not meant to be worshiped. Did you hear that? People, some people, worship angels. I don't get that at all. Angels are subject to Christ. Angels have a will. Angels expressed emotions. Angels Are Not Omnipresent, omnipotent or omission they are not all knowing, they are not all powerful and they are not present everywhere. There's too many angels to count. Most angels remained faithful. Two thirds of the angels did not fall. Only three angels are mentioned in by name in the Scriptures, Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer, and or Satan. Only one angels called an Archangel, that's Michael. And angels are created to glorify and worship God, the father, and God the Son. Angels report to God. Angels are known as Messengers, watchers, whost sons of my of the mighty sons of God in chariots. So I think that gives you a good a good idea with the purpose of the angels are as. They are servants, messengers, interceders, battlers, warriors, awesome, massive strong. Remember when when the women went to the tomb and this massive stone had been thrown away from the entrance, the angel was sitting there. There's I think it was in first or second kings, there's an angel that killed like a quarter million people by himself in one night. was either Elijah or Elijah went to sleep with his disciple and then they were fearful, like we're surrounded, and they woke up and they were all gone. They're all dead. So rejoice that God loves you. Rejoice that he sovereign and that he has the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. The spirit of God dwells in us. That's why Jesus said I go away, and it's good that I go away, because the helper is coming, the third member of the Trinity. God inhabits us, innercedes with the father for us when we don't know what to say, illuminates the word of God and powers us for service, to battle in a world that's under warfare between the angelic coast of for God's glory and then the demons that fell with Lucifer. So, so, in the spiritual realm we spoke about the angels and we've spoke about the power of God and this the sovereignty of God and Jesus having whose sovereign also as the son of God, but that he also when he was tempted by Lucifer, he quoted Scriptures. And so Paul said in the Phesians, make sure you're armored up, that you're taking your thoughts captive, that you got your your breastplate at your you're prepared and you've got your word with you and you're ready to battle, because you're in a war now. Demons, our fallen angels. Sometimes, you know, we we go okay, well, how did that work? Well, the serpent came into the garden from outside. In Genesis three, remembering the serpent said did God really say to Eve, and then he got judge for that. And then later on in revelation twenty two, we see Lucifer as the ancient serpent. And in revelation twelve, eight is when Satan is thrown out of heaven again, cast out of haven. And then, remember, he gets thrown in locked up for the thousand years after the ballabarm again and all that, and then he returns and then he he's gets his final judgment after the thousand years, along with all the fallen souls and people who rejected Christ, along with the demons in death and are cast into outer darkness. Where's weeping in nashing teeth. Demons have a leader, saying as a leader he was a Cherub who had gone wrong. or he was an archangel. We're not quite sure. We do you know? We know this. At Michael's angels defeated him and in his angels in battle scripture has a number of titles in addition to Satan and devil. Again. Millard Ericson he summed it up. He said, well, there's a tempter, bes a Bob enemy, evil one adversary, deceiver, Great Dragon, father of lies, murder center. SATANIS demonic entourage. Have limitations, and this is this is crucial. Satan in his demons are powerful spirits, but they are not omnipresent, on miscient or omnipotent. There's a rise in Satanism, which is totally lunacy to me, because what we don't have in the universe is a good and a bad and they're equal and then you have to kind of choose a side and hope your side win. So that's not how it works. We have God, who created Lucifer and he will crush Lucifer whenever it's time. Jesus has sovereignty over Lucifer and that's why Lucifer, when he tried to be like God, was cast out and he took a third of the demons with him. This the angels with him. But Satan can only be one place at one time. Demons can only be one place at one time. We know the demons can can go in and out of unbelievers. We see that through the New Testament. They even enter pigs and mark thirteen. But they're not equal with God. There's no fear. What if does nothing to fear, which is why the closer you stay to Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, the more it makes sense as you go through life. Now, the cool thing is we still we live our lives, we love, we laugh, we live a life of joy in the Lord. This war feathers take in place is not something you sit there and analyze all the time. It's happening, but you are just if you're in the spirit and if you're walking through faith in Christ, not in yourself, not in not, you know, not in some people have faith in their faith. That's not it. You Walk and say I have victory in Jesus Gay. Good morning, father, it's another day. May This Day be for your purposes. May I make much of the Cross. Jesus, thank you for dying. Thank you that I have everything I need for living this life. Go before me, bless me, Guid and directing me and keep me from the evil one, and I pray that I you would forgive the sins that I've committed recently that I don't even the ones I don't even know. So there's no accusation that can be brought against me. Satan is the victor over a Jesus, as the victor over Satan. Jesus came in the world as the incarnate son of God to accomplish more than one thing. He came to reveal the father, to be a model for the disciples behavior, to be our great high priest, to die for our sins, to defeat the devil. On the Cross. He defeat the devil by tasting death for us, and he's to fourteen through fifteen, the devil's power lies and bringing death. After death comes judgment, but if Jesus had a had addressed the matter of Judgment on the Cross as he has, then the believers fears are relieved. Demons do possess people, but they cannot possess believers. You get that, and there's no hope for the demonic world. I hope this helps you get a pretty good idea what's going on around you. But in the scheme, in the big scheme of things, leave it to God. Trust Jesus Christ with everything. As Lord of Your Life. He is taking care of everything. In my main exhortation as we close is that you make much of the cross, because Jesus said, if the son of man is lifted up, he'll draw all men unto himself. Without the cross, we have nothing. With the Cross we have everything, since we've been saved by grace, not by works, we have nothing to boast. So there's no reason for us to Brag. Two people. The Christian walk isn't is a walk and humility, because God is controlling all things by his might and nothing can separate us from God's love of us. So we have nothing to fear. And in that faith, in that truth, we need. We need to share with the World The Gospel. We need to be prepared, I I says in Peter, to be able to share the Good News, share the Gospel, be prepared to give an answer for the hope that lies within within you, but with meekness, gentleness, with the you know what it God's calling you. You want to know. Let Me Tell You the Gospel. Before time, Jesus said he would die for his elect and then at the at the appropriate time, Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, started his ministry at Thirty, was tempted in all ways but never sinned. Three years later, all out himself orchestrated his own this, the whole cross scenario. And they saw him go up and he will return again in revelation. Nineteen. So when he talked to family members or if you see movies or if you see people saying, yeah, I'm going to party with Satan or I'm I'm gonna I'm going to know what the bad guys because I think we can win. No, it's already written. Book revelations done, and Satan loses, the demons lose, the Unbelievers Lose, Sin Loses, death loses. It's done. We're living out what has already been written. Praise be to God for that. So rejoice, have joy in the fact that you are saved. The spiritual reality is taking place, but be in the word, being prayer, be close to Christ, be in fellowship with Christians in a healthy church, and then you're not even going to know what's going on.
