My wife sent me this for a scripture here, so we're going to open up with this. She was finishing up Ezekiel, the last verse, Verse Thirty Two, for I take no pleasure in the death of anyone declares the sovereign Lord. Repent and live. The Way People Repent Live is we share the gospel. After we're spending time in the word, and Hebrews War twelve says that the word of God. It's living and attactive. It's not just another religious book, because it is the book written by Forty Authors inspired by the Holy Spirit, on three different continents over one thous five hundred years, with no contradictions, which is why, when we hold it over reading it, we say, you know what, we agree with the author, Hebrews. The word of God is living and active. It's sharper than any double edged sword at Pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit and joints and morrow, and it judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart, even though it can be painful. The way that our lives are sanctified in fall in line with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ model, the way he lived. Is We have to spend time in his word and in the word. We get encouraged, we get taught, we get rebuked, we get exhorted, but in the end we're saved, we're going to heaven and we are lights of the world because the spirit of God is dwelling in us and we have the word that is living in power that then, we are sharing in with our mouths and we are displaying with our lives. Some people say I'm going to live my faith only. No, you need to say it and live it. In John Three fourteen through seventeen, in my prayer every day I said, Lord, help me to remind me to lift up, lift you up, that you would draw men unto yourself. I got that because one of my favorite parts of scripture John Three fourteen through seventeen. It says just as Moses lifted up a snake in the wilderness, it was a bronze snake that God had told him to put up on US stick and way up in the air, because the Jewish people were getting bitten and killed by snakes for disobeying God, and so Jesus said just like that was saving them. If the son of man, or when I'm lifted up on the cross, Verse Fifteen, then everyone who believes that I am who I am, that I am the son of God, that it came to Earth, that I lived a perfect life and I am dying on a cross. And for people who believe that that finished work on the cross covers all their sins and that they then are born again in their spirit and elevating me to Lord, they have eternal life. John Sixteen, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Romans fibate says God demonstrated his own love for us in this that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus didn't die for us when we had cleaned up and were good. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. But back to John Seventeen, for God did not send his God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world. Through him, we have a loving God who's holy and Righteous, does not allow sin in heaven, and the only way we have access to him is because Jesus said in John Fourteen, fourth, your nine. He said to US disciples, you know the you know the way to the place where I'm going. And Thomas Remember doubting Thomas. He said to him, Lord, we don't know where you're going. So how can we know the way? How can we know the way to heaven? Because you said you're going to you're going to die and be buried and raise again, said at the right hand of the Father in heaven. How do how do we? How do we know the way? and Jesus said in John Fourteen six. And when I read this, think about friends, family, people you've known, to think, well, no, I'm going to get to heaven my way. Well, I'm a Buddhist, I'm going to get to heaven my way. I'm a Muslim, I'm going to get to heaven my way. The Bible says there's only one God. There's never going to be another one. There's one as Naimes Yahweh. There's one Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So Jesus said, Dad to doubting Thomas and the guys. I am the way, I am the the truth, I am the life. No one comes to the father except through me. We're seven. If you really know me, you will know my father as well from now on. You do know him and you have seen him. And Philip said in verse a Lord, show us the father and that will be enough for us. Jesus answered. Don't you know me, Philip, even after I've been with you for such a long time? Anyone who has seen me as seen the father. How can you say show us the father? There's one way, one truth, one life. There's one way to heaven, and the way you get there is you spend time in the living word of God and the Holy Spirit. Then will you will be born from above and it will take residence in you and will educate you and guides you, give you the words to say. And then as you're in prayer and you're in fellowship and you're acting as Christ followers, you are then the light of the world. And then you left up Christ to the world and he'll draw people unto himself. And then when we die, when we get we get to glory, Jesus will say, enter in good and faithful servants. There you go, and not easy. It's awesome. Let's do a part of the proverbs and PSAWM will jump right into genesis here so we can get you back to work. And I'm with your morning Psalm for from the director of music, with stringed instruments, a psalm of David. Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God, give me relief for my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer. Remember when you're reading through the Psalms, that David is not does not have the Holy Spirit in him. He's that they did. Christ had not risen, so the Holy Spirit wasn't sent. So they weren't born again. They by faith and through their their lineage. They believe. They believed by faith because God was showing miracles and works and before Jesus, then people could be saved by their faith, with credit to them as righteousness, and then they would be, like it says in the leak Luke Sixteen, Jesus said that there was a place called Abraham's bosom where they would wait, die in wait, but they still couldn't go in God's presence until Jesus had died and taking care of the sin problem. So here's David, because that's why a law of Psalms. He's always talking to God like it come you're far from me, and so he says. Answer me, God, give me relief, have mercy. I mean here my prayer. How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How Long Will You love delusions and seek false gods? Know that the Lord has set apart his Faithfull Servant for himself. And the Lord here is when I called to him tremble and do not sin. When you were on your beds, search your hearts and be silent, offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the Lord. Many, many are asking who will bring us prosperity. Let the light of your face shine on us. Fill my heart with joy. When the grain and new wine abound in peace, I will lie down and sleep for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Let's go over a few verses here in proverbs to is we're going through it will go down here to let see, I think we are over here on verse nine. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair and every good path where wisdom will enter your heart. This is this is if you in the first part of it, PLOM and saying, if you seek after wisdom like you would seek after silver and gold and a lost treasure, then you'll get wisdom. And then it continues here and nine. Then with this wisdom, you will understand what is right and just and fair and every good path for wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul and discretion will protect you and understanding will guard you. It's awesome to walk with God, especially in the New Testament. As people born again, we're walking with God. We're communing with God all the time in the Holy Spirit in our seats. Now we're at the point that Noah and the animals have been on the arc for quite a while. I don't know if you know this. How long do you think Noah spent on the boat on the arc? Three hundred and seventy days. And remember from the last podcast? Why were there two of each kind but there were seven pairs of the clean animals? Well, we'll find it's going to we covered it last time, but the the chapter here is going to answer it. So we're going to pull out a couple things and then we'll close out the podcast where you see can get back to your day. It says, though, to starting out in verse one of Chapter Eight. But God, remember Noah and all the walled animals and the livestock there with them in the arc, and he sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded. So the waters are going down, the waters are going down. And then after forty days later, then noah takes an opens up the window that he built and he sends out a raven and it kept flying back and forth until the water dried up and then it didn't come and come back, and then so we sent out a dove and then it came back. He sent it out again. This time it had a had a twig in its mouth, an olive leaf. Is like, wow, okay, well then that means the water had receded. So on the first month of Noah's six hundred in first year, because remember, on his six hundredth, six hundredth year, he basically got the with the waters from above the earth and waters from below flooded the entire planet. But here's the things that the main points I want to get with you. Number one, it says in verse fifteen gossip to know a comal the ARC. You and your wife bring out every kind of living creature is with you so they may multiply on the earth and increase on it. So Noah came out verse eighteen, together with the sons and wives, all the animals in the creatures. And then verse twenty, Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of the clean animals. See if God would only taken two of each clean animal and he sacrificed them, and Noah did, that would have been the end of the that species. But now there were seven pairs, so there could be some sacrifices, because God was worthy of sacrifice, of worship. So he sacrificed purnt offerings. So that's that's kind of a couple questions people ask. How long was he on the boat? Three hundred seventy days. Why did God take? Why was why was her more than two of each kind of animal? Because there had to be animals, clean animals. Only they would be allowed to be sacrificed. But here's the main point. Twenty one. The Lord smelled the pleasing Roman said in his heart, never again will I curse the ground down because of humans. So God will never flood their earth again. Can you know universal flood everything dies. He will burn, he will burn up the the earth in fire in the final judgment in revelation nineteen and but that's got some time to go for that one. But the Lord smelled the pleasing Roment said in his heart never again when I cursed the ground because the humans, and here's the main point, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood, some people think they're good enough to go to heaven without needing Jesus. Some people think they're good enough that they don't need Christianity, that they can get to heaven on their own. They can be a good Buddhist, Muslim, agnostic, new age whatever. But Jesus said that he'd he couldn't put his heat, would not put his trust, Bob says, Jesus would not put his trust in any of the men around him, men and women, because he knew what was in their hearts. My couragement to you today is that the reason why we lift up the cross is because we much, must make much of the Cross daily. Jesus said You, if you are a true believer, you pick up your cross daily and follow me humility and awe that God, The Sun would come to earth and be killed by people that he created, because everything was created by him and for him, and he allowed himself to go through a unjust trial, to be spent on beat up back, torn open, mocked, hung on a cross, and then when he had when he was done, he said to tell us that it has finished and he gave up his spirit. Today that's returned to a point of humility and making much of the cross, because the Bible says the Cross is the cross is an offense to people who are perishing, but to those are being saved it is gift of its salvation, to gift to God. It's it's what, it's what allows us to have access to a holy God. So let's be humble today, let's be appreciative of God's word. Let's really understand grace, because God said, after everybody had got flooded, I'm not going to do it again, even though the inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. Says in Romans that no one is righteous, not one. It says we've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that's where the Gospel comes in and that's where grace changes everything. We owe him back, we owe everything, because he paid it all.
