So head over there, Christian talk dot life. On today's podcast we're going to go over seven things that we know for sure that God hates. I think that's important to know. If you're like me, which I didn't used to be like, I'm trying to go through the Bible once a year and I was up really early this morning because I had lot of work to do. It my job. I'm a political writer. But I was able to go through a couple days and just by going through Luke Genesis in the psalms, it's just your reminder to me that life is about Christ. The things that we do, the jobs we work, the families we have are all centered around bringing God glory in being Christ in those situations. And if Asians for twenty nine through thirty two, I'm going to I'm going to go to the seven things, but this is what I was thinking about when I was going through the scriptures. Do not let any and wholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be Cutting and compassionate to one another forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave you. Why is this important? Because when I am researching for my political articles, I want to start writing more Christian articles, you know, articles about the our faith in our community, and you realize that most of the articles that you find, like on Christian just I think one was I Christian News dotnet or whatever. You know most of the stories or about fallen pastors, people getting killed, missionaries. You would think, by looking at these sites that wow, everything's going bad right, but how many people have you met? And you may be struggling with this. So I'm going to encourage it at get victory over this. What comes out of our mouth come, is coming from our heart. Jesus said, what ghosts and into the eyes goes to your heart, your what you're seeing in what you're hearing, then is being manifested and if you're taking in a lot of the world, you're going to manifest a lot of the world. And so Paul told the Ephesians nothing should come out of your mouths if you're in the word, praying and fellowship. We shouldn't be dropping bad words, we shouldn't be better, we shouldn't be having rage, anger, brawling, slander. We should be kind, compassionate to one another, forgive each other, just as Christ forgave you. It's talking to my wife about that yesterday, this idea that Christians carry check list of people that have wronged them and they and that they want to get even or those people owe them. You missed the whole point of grace and your own salvation. And why am I going in this with you? Because I want you to be free, want you to realize that like it. It says in First Corinthians that you're that you're not your own. You've been bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God with your body and your spirit, which is God's. So just pray about that. If you're if you're the kind of person that uses some bad language, go to Fasians for twenty ninety thirty two. If you get angry all the time, why? And you know, and it's just it's for you and the Lord so you can live a life that brings him glory. So I just wanted to bring that up to you because that's what popped up to me when I was reading this morning. All right, they're seven things that it says in the proverbs the God hates. You can look it up at proverbs six, sixteen and Seventeen. This list is not exhaustive. There's more than seven things that God hates, but these are the ones that are mentioned specifically. It says in proverbs and sixteen there are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him. Number one, haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies in one who sews discord among the brothers. Are those that surprised you? Well, let's look over this real quick. The Ten Commandments and when. God wrote these on the stones himself, but it says by his own finger he said the first commandment that he wrote, I am the Lord Thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. I went over this in the last podcast. You do not worship idols, saints or Mary or anybody. Number two, you shall not take the name of the Lord Thy God in vain. How is that possible that God's name, Jesus Christ, has been drug is being used all the time, drugs through the mud. How is it God in Jesus Christ or profanities? They're phrases that people use when they're frustrated or angry. So God wrote with his own finger. I am the Lord, Thy God, you shall have none besides me. Number two, you shall not take the name of the Lord or God writing this. You shall not take my name in vain. Three, for the Jewish people, this is before grace, as is before the new covenant. Keep the Sabbath Day. Jesus rested, though, so I think it's still a good principle that we take a day off each week, try not to work seven days. Paul said in the New Testament. Jesus said in Paul that there is everybody's Sabbath Day is different. Everybody's Day of rest for honor thy father and mother. And then you get into the what you do with other humans. So for God, we have no gods besides him. We don't use his name in vain. We take a day off to make sure that we dedicate it completely to him, and he should honor your foot. Well, that's those are the three. Then you get into the honor number four. Fourth Commandment. We're getting into the human human honor your father and mother. Shall not kill, should not commit adultery, shall not steal, sure not. Shall not lie or bear false witness, should not come it. After that, your neighbor neighbor's wife and number ten, your neighbor's goods. So when God, when I, says that this is what the Lord hates. He hates haughty eyes, eyes that that arety, like I am special. Look at me, for the seductive women or man, look in my eyes, look at my arrogance, look at my look at my pride, look at my confidence. God hates hotty eyes, eyes that are up to no good. He hates a lying tongue. We just read in the Tent Commandments. You shall now should not bear false witness against THY number. You should not lie. So God hates lying and he hates hotty eyes and he hates hands that shed innocent blood. When Noah and the family got off the boat, they sacrifice the clean animals to the Lord and then the aroma went up and in that that took care of their sin problem. The ready to repopulate the planet. And what's the first thing that God does? Noah and the other seven of you? If any of you take somebody else's life, if you kill, eat one another innocent blood, then the rest of you you should you'll kill that person the death penalty, because God is the one that creates life in the womb and godess the one that has set a time for us to go to Hell or heaven. The God hates hands at shed innocent blood, abortion doctors, murderers, gang members, terrorist God hates a heart that devises wicked plans and feet that make haste to run to evil. You know, the people that have sold out to their father, the devil, and everything they do is just about fun, Sin and sin, and they're like, where's the parties? Where can I go make the money? Where can I take advantage? where? And they didn't say that they're an evil or participate that they they make haste, they can't wait to sin, because sin is fun for a season and then the ramifications comes in and if you're unrepentant, then it condemns you. In the last one of this list, God hates one who sews discord among the brothers. This is very prevalent in the churches that I've seen and then the church plants that I've been part of, and this is something that I'm going to be praying about, if you could be praying about it as we're building this podcast here and eventually I'm doing live. I think this is a real, big problem because Jesus said it that the love, the love that the Christians half or one another, will show the world that God is real and God hates people. WHO's so discord among the believers, the Christians? We need to stop. We need to stop with the bad language, we need to stop with the porn we need to stop with the anger, the greed, the discord, the backstabbing, a slander. These are happening in the Church and God hates them. Let me think about it. Haughty eyes, it's basically means that arrogance, I guess, is if you look at Second Samuel Two, twenty two, saw eighteen, proverb six. The Hebrew word is Yah here, which means to build a high a wall, high up, two figured of expression. So think of that. The synonyms would be like so if you have haughty eyes, it means you're high, exalted and exalted above you built a high wall for yourself as so you're above everybody else. We already went over. God hates a lying tongue. God hates people that intentionally kill innocent people. God hates people that have vise wicked plans. All right, in First John to fifteen through eighteen, John's talking about not loving the world. Okay, so we just went over seven things that God hates. We went over the Ten Commandments. You can see the parallel. First three dealt with God and man and then the rest of the other seven dealt with man and man. And we went over before that Phasians. We went over the language and the anger and all that. Now we're going talk about not loving the world, but I feel like I need to say something here. These are not list that you follow as a religious person. On the next podcast we're going to go over election, we're going to go over God's sovereignty, but when it comes to being a voluntary, loving, happy slave of the creator of the universe, Jesus Christ, then we live in a way that brings him glory, but we don't keep a checklist to try to make him love us. Jesus doesn't love you less, ever, once you are born again. We don't. We're we don't have days were we're so perfect that he could love us more. It's the opposite, Jesus said. membery said I didn't come as a physician. I didn't come for the healthy, I came for those that were sick. So when I go over encouragements and scriptures with you, it's what John or Peter or Paul James when they were writing to the young church. It was to them. It was to give them instructions from the Holy Spirit so they could then go oops. Blowing it here, because we get in our ruts. So in First John Two, fifteen through eighteen, he wrote do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the father is not in them. For everything in the world, the lust of the Flesh, the lust of the eyes, in the pride of life comes not from the father but from the world. The pride of life. That was one of the seven things that God hates right, the lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh. The world and its desires passed away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. One of my problems as a young man and then even as a young Christian, because I didn't get discipled, and that's one of the things that kind of surprise me, you know now that I look backwards. The lust of the flesh, when you're when you are doing everything that you your fleshly, your instincts tell you that's when you're in your flesh. Money, money, money, sexual relations are pride, position what just whatever you can take. And when you're born again those should subside, because there's always this question can you lose your salvation? But the Bible says that they went out from us, the people that were the disciples, that were with the church, but says they went out from us because they weren't of us. Jesus said, father, thank you for all that, all that you've given me. I've lost none. So if you're truly born again, then what's going to happen is the the lust of your flesh should subside, the lust of your eyes, the checking out and all the stuff that we do with the eyes. I always say I told the guys when I did them in studies. If you have to be rain man when you go in the gym, when you're a young Christian and you haven't learned discipline and haven't really grown up, then you stare at the ground because some of the ladies at the gym are dressing in a way to get a lot of attention, which makes absolutely no sense to me. You're supposed to be a GIM and the pride of life. That's at haughtiness. So we had Ephesians, were the language and all the anger. Those things should not be mentioned among you and the and if, if we struggle with our flesh, our eyes and our pride, that means we love the world and the world is passing away, our home is in heaven, and then we return with Christ to establish a new kingdom, the new heaven and the new earth, because the world will is going to pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. And we'll finish with this Colossians three, four through eight. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Therefore put to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature, sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways in the life you want, let's lived, but now you must get you must rid yourselves of such things as he's anger, rage, malice, slander, filthy language from Your Lips. A lot of these are repeats, because Paul's right into different churches. So let's close this all up. God hates when his creatures us as humans, when we try to be somebody, when we want to steal God's glory, when we want to say hey, I'm on the worship team, but listen to how great I am. My pastor is really funny all the time. Look at me, look at me, and then you get the guys. And I don't know about the girls, but I've had guys at the studies over the years. Will I look at the goodlooking girls, but I'm not touching them. So nothing wrong with that. And I said, well, Jesus said, if you look at a woman lust, you've committed adultery with you, in her heart. You've committed adultery in your heart with her. So you are not to be looking at the opposite sex in that way. There's there's nothing admirable or Christian about getting about being angry or flying off and rage or slandering people. Well, you know, I'm Irish and so we've got that anger. Well, you know, I'm this nationality. So we get ain't we rage? But you know, but I come to that. I go to the Lord and then I say I keep asking, I'm sorry and that I'm malicious and I'm slanderous and well, you know, I drop a few ass words, you know, but I'm you know, that's not nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with cussing. The Bible doesn't say no, don't, you shouldn't cuss. Why does a Lord Point these out to us? Because we are supposed to be lights in a very dark world, a world that likes darkness over light. Their deeds are evil where to be set apart, sanctified. If we are walking around angry, in a rage all the time, malicious, slanderous, dropping fbombs, checking out people sleeping around, then we are no different than the world that's perishing. God gets no glory when his children act like the Pagans. Secondly, when you do these things and I'm cluding myself and some of these that I've had victory over. If you go around angry and you're getting fights with people and your rage, then you could die. In these days. You can get shot, stabbed, beat to death whatever. So not only not only are we to do it because the holy spirits in us, so we should be not wanting to do it anyway, but then if we still struggle with some of these things, then there's no excuse because you will be getting reminded through the Scriptures and through fellowship at the church not to do it for God's glory, because he says, as some of you were, you used to walk in this way, in these ways, but you don't anymore. Says over in Krinton First Corinthians. So this week coming up, just ask the Lord my doing things that you hate. If so, help me to stop. Am I ring? Am I angry, using bad language, slandering people? Am I? Am I doing anything on the list? Am I breaking the Ten Commandments, which we don't live under the law? But it is showing you it's a same thing that God hates. If you're devising wicked plans, if you're trying to take advantage of people, you're just doing anything that that you wouldn't want done to you, then you got to repent, John First, John, if you if you confess your sins, than Jesus's faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you ball in righteousness. So be encouraged. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. Romans one, the Romans Eight, death, life, principalities, powers, demons, nothing can separated. So so, once you're saved, you can't lose your salvation. Once you're saved, then there should be a slow process of resembling more your Lord, as the Holy Spirit grows you up, as you read the word in that that's those words in your spirit. Then mature and you get them more of a knowledge and then you can be a light and you can watch people come out of darkness and there's no there's no greater feeling then you you see people coming out of darkness into the light.
